Vehicle Detail
Up for bidding is a 1982 Mercedes 300 DT that I have own for over 10 years. I have replaced the brakes, including the master cylinder. It has a decent set of tires that have a fair amount of tread left. I just had it inspected and registered in Texas. I have a clean title. When I first purchased it I installed a WVO (waste vegetable oil) kit on it. You can look it up on Greasecar.com. It is the one for a Mercedes 300D. It seemed like the best one at the time and it has worked great. It has a separate tank that fits in the trunk and then it has a switch that I installed in the front panel that activates servo valves that then switch to the WVO tank. There are 2 dents that I have pictured above. They are from when a limb fell on the car. That car has never been in a wreck. You start the car on Diesel and then when it is warmed up in about 3 or 4 minutes you hit the switch and you are running on vegetable oil. It is Awesome! These cars are the best for this conversion because of the Bausch fuel injectors. The entire system can be removed in less than an hour and the car still runs like normal. Follow the link above to see how it works. The Greasecar company has been around for a while and a lot of people are using their system. I have also included a filter system that you can connect to a 12volt battery. It filters the vegetable oil through 2 filters before you put it in the tank. The AC does not blow cold air. The blowers all still work and so does the heater. It has a 120, 866 miles. I have only put about 15,000 miles on since I bought it. All of the windows are powered and they all work including the sunroof. There are no leaks anywhere. It runs great. If you are looking to drive on free gas then this is the car for you. I will be glad to make arrangements to meet a shipping company somewhere in Austin, TX but the buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and payment.
