This executive saloon car (like the brits call it) is the Eight Generation E class and has been carrying the letter E, in one form or another, since its introduction in 1953 with the W120 180. The E class is by far the best-selling Mercedes Benz, with sales totaling 15 Million units by 2015. This W211 E class was launched as model year 2002 in Europe and model year 2003 in North America. This 2009 E350 was the final production year, which makes it a very sound investment, since all the quirks have been worked out by then. This E350 has the famous 3.5L V6 engine that Mercedes puts into numerous models and are known for their performance and reliability. This engine produces 268hp at 6,000rpm and 258ft-lbs of torque at 2,400rpm. The transmission is a 7-speed automatic called 7G-TRONIC, which was Mercedes's newest innovation and it took the E350 to the next level in terms of its smoothness and speed changing gears. This transmission can also be operated manually by switching to Sport manual mode and changing gears by either moving the gear lever up and down or by using the paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel, making it a very involved and spirited driving experience. This E class is remarkably roomy and comfortable and is the perfect car for people that do a lot of driving or for those that just want a very stylish and unique family car, as it seats 5 passengers and can carry loads of luggage.
