Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 RUST FREE (actually, pristine) Most of the chassis metal is actually shiny! No leaks. No rattles (I'm very picky). Nothing feels anything but tight and proper. Look at the pictures. It is gorgeous. If you leave the door closed for a couple of days, you can still smell new car. Maintenance has always been on time, and it is obvious. Tires are like new. Wheels are optionally chromed. The rubber weatherstrip is as new. Upholstery, top and carpet are 9.95 out of 10. All steering wheel controls are free, clear and function as they should. I have all services performed since my ownership documented. I have recorded every tank of gas backed up by receipts, every oil change, etc... in a book in the glove box. I have a book on modifying the Solstice and all of the installation manuals for the turbo setup. Those go with the car, too. Now for the stuff that makes this good deal a fantastic deal: 1) It comes with a FREE (unobtanium) FACTORY tonneau cover, NEW in the box! They were $700, when you could get them. As I understand it, there is one straight steel dowel/rod missing - I am told it is a piece of cake to fabricate. I have never taken the tonneau out of the box and inventoried. 2) It comes with a FREE - More-or-less complete Hahn's turbocharging kit, made specifically for the Solstice. I bought it from a vendor who had it on his 2007 Solstice, making 14psi (you can adjust it lower). I had the turbo completely re-manufactured, and it is as new in the plastic. This kit can make some serious horsepower, and the original cost of the kit was $5300. 3) The turbo was on a 2007 Solstice and had been thoroughly sorted. The owner had an accident with the car. I sent the Turbo to the best Race Shop on the west coast for a checkout and complete overhaul. It is in better than new condition, now. The inter-cooler was damaged. I retained the side tanks as patterns or for refurb and installation. You also will receive two separate brand new inter-coolers. Take your choice and sell the other one (some fabrication may be required... but VERY easy). All other parts are there and ready to bolt on. All for ONE PRICE! This stunningly beautiful Solstice is offered at an already excellent price, and includes $6,000 worth of extras! Note: The Solstice is currently in the Rod Shop, getting an estimate on the cost of installing the Turbo Kit. I have not made up my mind whether to go ahead with the install, or sell it all as is - you, the Buyer may have input. You should let me know your plan. The bad: The 6-disc in-dash CD player needs servicing. The radio is excellent. There is a TINY scratch (less than 1/4" on the hood) - pictured There is a VERY SMALL indent and the very bottom of the right front cowl piece - pictured (for a while, I thought it was the way the car was designed. You have to look for it... difficult to see, when standing.) I know; kind of a short 'bad' list, huh? I'll add some more: The under hood pix show a lot of dust. Arizona is dry. There's a lot of dust. I really hesitate to spray water under the hood. I doubt the underhood area has EVER seen water. There you have it. Leave it mild, or make it wild. It's your choice. Please respect my time, and I will do the same for you. Thank you for your time and attention. This is a used car. It is in superb condition, but it is sold AS IS WHERE IS. I have sold other cars on eBay with excellent results. Please see my Feedback. 600+ Positives and 0 negatives tell the story. Inspections / test drives are encouraged prior to placing your offer. After that, you have entered into a contract, and will be expected to honor it. ALL Buyers must contact me, prior to placing an offer. My sincere apologies, but no exceptions will be made. It says 'pick up only'. That is not true. eBay doesn't offer a way to explain this: The buyer is free to arrange shipping at his/her own expense. We will cooperate with your shipper as far as is reasonable. I have sold cars that went to Boston, other states and Europe. You will not be disappointed. All the best to you and yours in the New Year.
