Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1988 Mercedes Benz 300TE wagon. It's in decent shape. I've been using it as a daily driver but it needs attention now and I don't have time anymore. IT HAS:New tiresNew front brakesNew fuel filterNew air filterNew spark plugsNew batteryNew resonator IN BOX. It will need a number of things eventually but this car is worth fixing up. The dash lights are out...it needs the rheostat in the back. The rear brakes have about 3000 miles left on them. It will eventually need a valve guide seal replacement in cylinder number one - better to do all. It needs a muffler. The resonator is cracked but I have a brand new one to go with the car. It will NOT pass smog right now until they are replaced so I'm selling this AS IS - and you are responsible for everything including smog. Sometimes it slips to the last gear but it might be electrical? I just let off the gas and it goes in to gear. The car has the usual dings in it for being 30. The clear coat is coming off in places... see pictures. Still it polishes up nicely and gets compliments. The rims are chrome. I started to clean them but it's too much work for me. The power windows all work but one (the problem is in the door) The power seats and sun roof work perfectly. Headlights and fog lights are all good. The leather interior is very nice. The carpet is clean but has the usual coffee stains on the passenger side. The radio is the original Becker. It works fine but the speakers need replacing. This car would be great if you've worked on and/or have a Mercedes! And it's worth considerable more in parts if you want, but I think this car is too good to part out. Again, it's got issues but it's a nice solid car totally over-engineered of course but with work, this wagon has a lot of life left on it. The odometer is broken and stopped at 120,000. I'd GUESS that it may be closer to 220,000 now. I bought this car from the second owner so I am the third owner. If you're local - or within a couple hours of Costa Mesa, this car would be fine to drive back. If you're out of state, you need to arrange all shipping and expenses. Please e mail me with any questions.
