Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 2005 Dodge Sprinter, 2500 HD, 2.7L, 5 in-line cylinder, it’s Maryland Inspected. This is the longest length they made for 2005, 158” inches. The van runs and drives strong, it has 193,526 miles, which is nothing for this Diesel German motors. It has plenty of cargo space to haul and is very fuel efficient. I will list all the work that has been done on it: and what needs to be repaired: Upgraded the turbo resonator to an after market Aluminium one (this is a part that fails in this vehicles), installed a new exhaust header manifold, brand new exhaust system from the DPF (Diesel particulate filter) to the tail pipe, just had a fresh oil change (used Amsoil) new fuel filter, new Bilstein (rear) heavy duty shocks, it’s equipped with 2 heavy duty leaf springs (on each side on the rear), new AFE high flow air filter. The engine and transmission are solid and work flawlessly. The following things need to be repaired: needs the sliding door actuator, (can get one from Ebay or a junk yard), the EGR was acting up and my Diesel mechanic unplugged it and told me it shouldn’t affect the performance of the vehicle, the van drives strong with the EGR wire unplugged. The body has blemishes consistent with its age, nothing major in overall the van is clean and aesthetically good, as with most Sprinter vans it has surface rust, especially on the lower panels and the belly of the van, the van needs an AC compressor system to restore the use of the air conditioner, the knob for the heat is hard to turn, I use it but it might need to be replaced. In overall this is a decent looking Sprinter van, mechanically healthy and strong and ready to work. I would not hesitate to jump into this van and drive it anywhere, it’s durable, reliable, and very good on fuel. Feel free to contact me via eBay, if you have any questions or concerns, Happy bidding, thanks John.
