Vehicle Detail
I have a 2007 Chevy Avalanche hat I purchased in florida almost 3 years ago with 99k on it. I have since put 33k on it. This has been my favorite truck of all times. It rides like a dream and handles like a sports car, seats 5, and can still pull a trailer. I have recently opened up my own business so the only reason I am looking to sell is to further invest into it. I planned to keep this forever to have a beautiful truck to drive every summer without ever having rust on it. I bought this from a doctor in Orlando. He was the original owner. It was purchased in his sons name since he was a gm employee and switched to the fathers name within 6 months. Until I purchased it he made me pinky swear that I would never let anyone else drive it(seriously I am not kidding. Purchasing the truck from him was similar to a job interview) It was always garage kept so the paint is in excellent condition. Other then some typical swirls and streaks from being black it looks great. It has a few pieces of clear chipped off from stones on the hood up front and bumper from the highway. Ive drove back and fourth from florida 7-8 times so far with it and unfortunately every time Id notice more little stone chips. There are some scratches, bumps and bruises on the front and rear bumpers from random parking lot encounters. Otherwise the body is in great shape. When it is clean it looks amazing. I get compliments on it everywhere I go. The truck at 110k miles encountered one of the DOD lifter failures. So I opted to pull the engine and part it out. It was an iron block so I chose an aluminum block 5.3 for it completely rebuilt. King bearings, moly rings, z06 corvette oil pump, z06 camshaft, the original 243 heads off from it, new delphi ls7 lifters, and new oem gaskets. It has 23k miles on the new engine. The truck is tuned with hp tuners and gets 22mpg at 60mph and 18-19 at 75mph. It has a Gm Performance Intake and Cat-back exhaust system. It still has factory manifolds and cats so it is not loud at all. Has a very tasteful sound to it. It is making 345hp to the flywheel. So a little more pep then from the factory and 100 less lbs due to the aluminum block(all 2wd avalanches came with iron and it bothered me knowing that. So when the lifter failed It was a satisfying feeling for me changing it) The truck has a 3" lowering springs directly from Gm when it was purchased. The 22" wheels were also purchased through the dealership so they have been on there for 10 years. They are in excellent condition for their age with only minor pitting and a few dings, no curb rash. The truck has a custom built 4-10" enclosure in the midgate that is completely removable. It was designed that way in the event I wanted it removed. 4 Rockford Fosgate P3 10's, a Kicker Kx1200 amplifier, capacitor, and 0/1 gauge wiring. The seat functions as if nothing is there also. Folds up and down. Factory head unit with GPS, cd, and aux. There are ZERO issues with the vehicle running or driving. Zero Check engine lights. Fluids are always changed on time. This thing has been taken care of and is definitely not your average avalanche. It has a stack of receipts since day 1. I havent kept oil change receipts and such like the original owner and havent had to do anything to it other then the engine since Ive owned it. It has been an excellent vehicle. The plastic is not grey like every other avalanche on earth! It has had forever black or back to black conditioning on it atleast once a month. It looks great. The only issue with the truck is the dash board. When I purchased it it had a few small cracks in it. After I installed the system they turned into big cracks. I continued to break pieces of it off until I just broke a large chunk out to keep it from rattling. The dash is approx $350 from the dealership for a new one. They were a very common issue in these avalanches and actually were warrantied for 2-3 years from new. The gentleman I purchased it from did not experience the cracking until 6-7 years after purchase so he did not get it replaced as he was planning to sell and get into new at 100k. I can have it replaced or just cut you a deal and it be up to you. It sits all winter so I have time. Otherwise I have been hesitant on putting it for sale for a few reasons. I really like it, I dont have to sell it, and I know it is 2wd. That is why I bought it and I cant be the only person on earth that likes 2wd vehicles. So I will not give the truck away. I am open to offers. Maybe even sports cars. But as stated I would like to try and sell it just to invest the money. If not. No sweat. I just installed new rear tires as I hit a pothole and one of them bubbled. The fronts could be replaced. but still have some life. Once again I figured id leave it up to the new potential owner. Otherwise Ill put a new set on in the spring. They are 4-5 years old. New tires drive wonderful! I would have them installed now but Im not driving the truck on the salty roads. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask. If the stereo system is not wanted I will remove it completely and knock $750 off from the price. Id rather not trade unless it is a 98-02 camaro or trans am with tasteful mods or a 98-04 vette. Otherwise Cash is king! I am asking $12,000 obo. I know the truck and its worth. I know its flaws and its strengths. I know it is not for everyone but I can promise if it is for you, you will not find one that you love more. I have a clean green title for the truck with release of lean at the moment of sale.do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
