The only reason why I am looking at selling the truck is the fact that I have acquired a new toy and just do not have room for the truck any longer. It took me years to find this truck, because it was a one year only build. Which means there were only 3,356 produced, which in many ways makes them like unicorns in the car collector world, especially finding one this clean well…….. I had heard about my friend’s brother’s Blackwood for years where it started to sound like a legend. He had purchased the Blackwood in AZ, while he was working in Las Vegas. During the last 5 years of his ownership the Blackwood found itself in the garage and only being driven about 3k during that time. I ended up getting his number and after a few calls he agreed to sell me the truck. I flew out as soon as I could and found the truck just as described, even down to the seat covers and steering cover protecting the Blackwood. Since March 2014 I have put on 20k on the Blackwood bringing the mileage up to around 74k. The Blackwood may be based on the F150 platform, but the ride and the feel is all Lincoln. The cabin will remind you of that fact with it’s use of rich leather and stimulated black tint wood. The Blackwood has a lower ride height than it’s F150 cousin which makes entering and exiting easier. The chassis is specially tuned with acceleration sensitive shocks, and a rear leaf, air spring set up to ensure that smooth ride that Lincoln is famous for, but also maintaining an 8,700 pound towing capacity with the 5.4L engine and 3.73 limited slip rear end. Speaking of maintaining, here are some items I have had service recently: a Complete Tune Up (plugs, wires, tuning, filters), New Brakes, New Rotors, A/C service, New Radiator, New Water Pump, New Belts, Rear End Lubed, Bearings Re-packed, and Oil Change every 3k miles. This is a smoke-free automobile. Vehicle has minor dings on the exterior body. This vehicle has a smooth shifting transmission. The engine on this vehicle is running great. Overall, this vehicle's exterior is clean. The interior is clean and in good condition. The Tonneau Cover is working intermediately, Car Fox shows that it received minor damage on the front pass side (I have had the car checked out and it is un-noticable with no structural damage).I have explained the condition of the Blackwood as accurately as possible and I encourage potential buyers to call me to set up a time to come and see it in person.
