Vehicle Detail
Hello Everybody, Picked up this truck to help a friend, drove it home 30 miles... runs good, idles good has 130,000 on it. Good volts, oil pressure, temperature. Im no Ford expert but heres what I know. It has a 6" lift comprised of a 2" body lift and a 4" suspension lift. Has 35 x 12.50 x 15 tires which are pretty much shot.. I beleive it has a broken transmission mount---maybe motor mounts too. Dont know. It does the classic jump up in first gear when you let clutch out---but I think its only the rear trans mount. Clutch is hydraulic and works well. New rear driveshaft / U Joints Brakes work ok... Exhaust is all there as far as cats etc... but has a single outlet kicked out just in front of passenger rear tire. Battery is 7 yrs old and weak / shot. At about 70 mph it developes a vibration which I think is out of balance tire. This is in 4rth or 5th so its not trans or driveshaft. Rearend gear ratio is 3.55 It takes off in first easy enough... you cant put into 5th until about 60 mph--rpms drop too much. The rpms in 5th at 60 mph is ~1800. Everything seems to work... radio is aftermarket and I didnt play with / check. Underside is clean... no major rot / rust... no holes in body TonyAndover CT
