** A professional 'collector car' appraisal was conducted March 2017 identifying a market value of $35,375 based on 5 comparables, not taking into consideration the engine block deficiency identified below. ** Offered from the Morrissette Collection. This is an excellent restored 1954 Ford F100. This vehicle was appraised in March 2017 and the following comments were provided by the appraiser; The truck was the subject of a frame off restoration in 2000. The engine has been upgraded to 390 V8. The transmission is an automatic Turbo 350. Upgrades include Power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, custom interior and gauges, audio system, and body modifications to the front end. The Paint and chrome is excellent. The engine compartment, interior and chassis are in excellent condition. The market on vintage Trucks is well established and has been strong over the past 5 years. This is a desirable model of the Ford F100, and is in a condition, quality and originality that makes this an attractive car in the marketplace if ever presented for sale. The odometer reading is 9,499 and assumed to be the mileage since the restoration. This truck was a regular driver for the owner. It was purchased by the owner with an external crack in the rear of the engine block. He had it sealed and didn't experience any problems per his mechanic. Due to the engine block imperfection this vehicle is being offered for significantly less than the appraised value. The owner of this car collection passed away within the last year. I'm assisting the widow and estate with the sale of some of the collection. The vehicle has a clear title, and will be accompanied by the appropriate documentation for titling by the new owner. The truck has a Chrysler front end, similar to a Mustang II but with torsion bars vs springs. The fuel tank is located in its original location, under the cab between the frame rails. As for the engine block, a crack near the rear freeze plug was identified while some work was being performed. The owner had professional rod shop grind the crack down and back fill it with Marine-Tex 3x to ensure its integrity. The owner drove this truck on a regular basis and it was a favorite of his. To date there has been no known issues with the repair made per the owner's mechanic who made the repair.
