Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 2008 Ford Taurus SEL w/140k miles, loaded with dual-power leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel (with cruise and audio controls), automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic HVAC, 6-disc MP3 CD changer, auto-dimming rearview mirror, newer tires (less than 5k miles), 2 keys, and the biggest trunk you'll find on a sedan (over 21 cubic feet)! The engine is a powerful 263 HP V-6, and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle history is clean, and the title is clear: no accidents or salvage history to worry about! This is my daily driver: the mileage will go up, as I use this to commute about 120 miles per day (figure it's going to be about 141k when the auction ends). I've owned this 2008 Ford Taurus SEL for about 1.5 months, and have put about 4,000 miles on it, with no issues. The oil was changed on 11/18/17, after my first 3,000 miles, and will be changed again, prior to the winning bidder taking delivery. The only reason I'm selling it is to reduce my fuel cost: at 24 MPG, I'm putting in 25-26 gallons every week. If my commute were shorter, I'd keep this Taurus until the wheels fell off: this is a seriously quick, comfortable, spacious, and safe cruiser! There is no lien on the Taurus, it's ready to go to its new owner. Please be aware: this is a 10 year-old car, and there are definitely imperfections; I have done my best to photograph all of them, and include them in the listing. If you would like a copy of the large, original pictures, please let me know: I stitched the photos together, which made them smaller, in order to present as many angles of the Taurus as possible. The pictures are still high quality, so if you have a large monitor, or zoom in, the detail should still be there. I'm not a dealer, so I don't get the benefit of being able to post 50+ high resolution pictures; however, I do want to give all buyers the maximum amount of information possible before they bid! Exterior issues - The body has a fair number of dings and scratches: the scratches do not appear to go down to the metal, and the dings may be removable with a paintless dent removal system. I haven't done that, as it's an inexpensive car that I've used to get to and from work. There was a rust spot above the driver's side rear wheel well that was ground out, sealed and painted. There is some fading of the paint on the roof and hood. There is a small crack in the front bumper. I believe that's everything, but check the photos and ask questions if you're unsure about a particular area!Interior issues - The leather on the driver's seat has a small hole, and there are three tears on the passenger-side rear bench (these have been repaired, but may need future attention if used constantly). There is wear on the driver's side footwell carpeting, but this can be covered with floor mats. One climate control button graphic has worn off, from use. I believe that's everything, but check the photos and ask questions if you're unsure about a particular area! Those are all of the issues I know about; now the good news: over the past 4,000 miles, I've had zero issues with the Taurus. There have been no check engine lights, it's driven straight and smooth (getting 24+ MPG at 70+ MPH), heating and a/c have worked properly, radio/CD player work properly, lights and all electronic controls (turn signals, mirrors, wipers, etc.) have worked properly, it passed state inspection on 10/31/17, the seats are comfortable and there is a ton of space inside and in the trunk. The windshield and windows are free of cracks or chips. Please ask all questions prior to bidding: your bid represents a contract to purchase, and I will pursue all non-paying bidders to the fullest extent possible. I care about my eBay rating, and have done my best to represent this 2008 Ford Taurus SEL accurately; if I have made material (20% or more of the final value) misstatements or misrepresentations, I agree to cancel any requirement for the buyer to finish the transaction, and will refund the buyer's down payment. A $500 deposit is due, within 24 hours of the auction's end, with the balance due within 72 hours of the auction's end, unless prior arrangements have been made. Willing to deliver within 50 miles of zip code 03901, or meet at Manchester, Logan, or Portland airports; otherwise, you're free to set up your own shipping (I'll accommodate as much as I reasonably can). This 2008 Ford Taurus SEL is listed for sale locally, and on other websites; I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, prior to the winning bidder completing the purchase, if it sells via another method, for the advertised price.
