Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 2001 BMW M3 6-spd coupe. The car is one of the few low mileage, accident free, non-modified, manual transmission coupes still available and is an appreciating asset. It is turn key and in excellent condition. Earlier this year I decided to rotate my garage and decided to sell 3 of my cars. I recently sold both my Aston and my Mercedes through Ebay, shipping each to their new owners. I have 100% feedback, so bid with absolute confidence. The tires are brand new Michelin Pilots with 700 miles on them. I had slightly peeling headliner fabric on both the interior A and C pillars replaced with factory BMW parts. The front struts were replaced with factory OEM Bilsteins and the rear view LCD mirror was also replaced due to the common LCD "bleeding" issue. When I replaced all 4 tires-they were the original tires from 2001, I also had all the rims resurfaced and refinished in original "hyper silver". I had BMW update and perform the airbag module recall repair and update the rear differential fluid to comply with the 2009 BMW TSB. Oil has always been synthetic castrol, which was just recently changed. I changed the side marker lights with amber LCD versions, but I have the originals if desired. For those E46 super fans that will want to know, the early 2000's TSB for the rear subframe reinforcement was not done. The cars previous owner was 77 and the car has been mostly in storage. It has never once been tracked or driven other than a nice day tourer. Bmw has serviced the car. The last time it was there I asked them to verify the VANOS and Connecting rod Bearing TSB's also from the early 2004. They verified everything to be in correct working order. Most of these historical/forum issues brought up with regards to the M3 were due to abuse by owners, this car has had an adult collector/enthusiast ownership history. There are a few very minor rock chips most less than the size of a ball point pen head in the hood. They are extremely hard to see unless you're very close. There is also a small dent the size of a eraser head in the driver rear wheel arch. This was from a car wash attendant opening a door next to it recently. I wasn't going to put the kid through the ringer, so I told him not to worry about it. Again, you'll walk right by it unless you were looking directly at it. I have priced the car correctly and in certain cases below current asking market for a turn key 6-speed coupe with 40+k miles. Included with the sale are two factory key/remotes as well as the valet and original plastic spare. I shipped both my Aston and Mercedes recently with their respective "buy-it-now" purchases, so I will continue that by including shipping of the car to you anywhere within the lower 48 with the "buy-it-now" price. If you'd rather come and get it and drive home, that's great as well. Just contact me and we'll work out the details. I'm completely happy to answer any and all questions regarding the car. I have many other pictures and would be happy to take any that you'd require. I don't require a deposit from the winner of the auction, but I will require either certified funds or wire transfer within 7 days. At which point the car will be shipped to you if desired. If the reserve is reached and the auction does end without reaching the "buy it now", the buyer will be responsible for either shipping or collecting the car. The perspective buyer and I will be in contact through the entire process. My reserve it just less than my "buy it now", just don't wait until the end of the auction looking to "rip" it. If you want a low mile E46 manual coupe in a great color combo, its priced right. This is the one. I reserve the right to end the auction early because the car is also for sale locally. Thanks for looking! Just reach out to me and I can send you additional photos if desired. Best Regards, Ben
