This Land Rover LR3 7 seater has been owned by us, the second owner since 2007. We bought it from a Land Rover dealer while still under warranty. We are an all Land Rover family owning 4 different models(true love for these cars). This has been an excellent car for our family with nothing but reliability and true Land Rover comfort! We have never had one major issue with this car. It is well used and has provided us well. Recently it had a shifting issue so we brought it in. They examined the transmission and said it is a solenoid issue/or the like. It operates on internal solenoids and probably some have failed.It drives fine, but when you come to a stop, it communicates to the engine to shut down. They say its the solenoids that have gone bad.I still drive it, but at a stop, I place it in neutral, then when ready to go, switch to drive and off we go. Engine has always been good and strong.However this is step that is too much for my wife, so the reason I am selling it, otherwise I'd keep it. It has never failed us in the city or on long road trips.Too bad they are no longer making this amazing body type! Its a great car just needs someone to heal the transmission issue. Please see all photos and more upon request. Paint is faded on the top surfaces and the clear coat is peeling on some of the top surfaces..not sure why, as seen in photos. There are some areas of the interior with wear, such as arm rests, magazine seat back holders, etc. Sunroof doesnt open-they said its an easy fix, but we never did it. Also the E brake we dont use as it needs a part, so we havent used it, without fail, for years. There are some lights that light up in the dash, but the mechanic says they are fine as they have been that way for years of great use (I think it is a matter of resetting the computer). Passes smog etc ever two years without fail. There may be other wear items..but I am trying to make a fair and honest assessment of a car that has worked very well, without major issues or fail for all these years. Car is sold as is, used.
