Vehicle Detail
I do drive this car daily so mileage will go up. Price is firm. This is a used car that purchaser wont have to put much money into. Ive already done all the work! Solid driver. Havent had one issue mechanically. Car is also listed on NYC - Fairfield County craig s list. I reserve the right to end auction early in the event the car sells from said site. Just put a brand new brake booster and vacuum pump. This was going to be my daily driver after my lease in my other car was up, but someone gave me another car im more interested in. Started doing work to it to get it ready for the road. Engine is smooth with NO service lights on. 205HP engine. probably doesnt have 205 anymore, but it still has some pull. Everything works except for headlight wipers. AC is cold and heat is hot! Heated seats work too! Has ABS, Traction control, winter and sport modes, one touch down power windows, cruise control, working keyless entry (only comes with one key), fog lights (one has lost its chrome inside), Heres a list of what was done: Transmission in photo is of the old one. New one was extremely clean. Replaced transmission with used unit that had 82k miles at 162,000 ($200). New brake vacuum pump ($160)New brake booster ($125) Front struts & rear shocks ($100)Strut mounts & bump stop ($60) lower control arms and stanchion arms ($160)sway bar links ($13)tie rod ends and inner tie rod bushings ($45)Tie rod connectors ($25)correct NGK spark plugs ($40)brake booster vacuum hose ($30)PCV update kit ($75)both wheel bearings and hubs ($140)4 quarts of full synthetic Mobil 1 & oil filter ($35)Valve cover gasket ($30)Fuel Filter ($20)& Another $200 in bolts, clamps, sensors and other little parts. I am not going to be doing any more work to this car, and its is being sold as is.Ill do my best to list what it needs to the best of my knowledge. There is an oil leak on the timing cover. its very common on this engine. seems to only happen when RPMs are kept high. already did the PCV update, so its not that. Its anywhere from nothing to a couple drops parked overnight. Oil level hasnt changed in 1200 miles. needs tires and alignment. theyre the 17 inch ones. the tires that are on there now are noisey. If you dont want to spend money on new tires, you could just get an alignment and wheel balance and live with the noise. One tire has saw tooth wear from the old shocks. Another tire has wear on the outside edges. Ive been driving on them with no issue, except noise (which has gotten quieter over 3000 miles). Climate display has a defect and the main display above radio is missing pixels. every once in a while the climate control display will shut off and show a "0" then a "22" for about 15 seconds. this is due to the dead pixels on the SID. theres a service on ebay thatll fix them. wasnt a big deal to me. can still sorta make out what it says. Fan speed controller is going bad. Sometimes the controller overheats, and the fan speed goes to the lowest setting. I put a bypass switch thatll bump it up to full speed. the part is 115 bucks and easy to change... has a heatsink like a computer that requires thermal paste. If i were to keep it, id not bother. No issues in the summer with the AC on. whoever owned the car before never treated the top. the tops skeleton has rust on it but still works ( can be cleaned off with some work). the pistons (not sure which ones) are leaking when top is put down. i only had to add hydraulic oil once, maybe about 3 oz. top sometimes needs a helping hand in a couple places going down by releasing and pressing the top switch again. I did treat the top 6 months ago with 6 dollar spray from walmart and should probably be done again..... recommended by a saab enthusiast site. there is a tiny hole in the top (see pic), but i did seal it with top repair tape on the inside. passenger door, just above trim, clear coat was peeling, so I attempted to fix it. sanded off as much of it as i could then hit it with clear coat. looks better than it did, but not perfect. there are scratches in paint. some might buff out. i dont wanna do any more work to it to find out. I did put a 3.5mm input jack on the radio, but it needs a music CD in the deck to work. not the best method, but better than not having one at all. changing this radio out is a PITA. the previous owner did have a half depth double din in it in the past. they gave me the radio wiring adapter and it will go with the car. the speakers all suck. not very loud. factory amp that controls the door speakers is terrible. Update: I put an aftermarket amplifier in that drives the door speakers. Sounds much better than the factory amp. windshield has spider crack see photo. havent tried to fix it. isnt growing. only comes with one key. center console tabs are broken. probably can be glued or screwed. anything else i can think of, ill add later. Can be driven. Title is clear. Just passed connecticut emissions. I do drive it daily so mileage will go up. Gets around 30mpg highway and 18 around town. 500 Deposit due within 24 hours to paypal. Rest to be paid in person in cash If you have a windows 7 laptop, and bring it with you I can install Mitchell ondemand 2012. It's the ultimate repair guide for cars up to 2011ish. Has every diagram and repair procedure for this and just about every other car on the planet. i
