1954 Nash 400 Series

You are bidding on a 1954 Nash Metropolitan convertible. This is a very original car that still has the original, matching numbers engine with it. It had a partial amateur restoration 6 or 8 years ago by a previous owner, including new upholstery, door panels, convertible top, rechromed bumpers, new tail lights, and a repaint that is just so-so. The engine was supposedly rebuilt at that time too, but I’m not sure if it was or not. The engine will run for a few seconds but sputters and dies out almost immediately. I’d guess it is either an ignition or carburetor problem but I haven’t taken the time to check it out. I can see where there has been some rust repair in a few areas of the floors and rockers in the past. I expect payment within 5 days of the end of the auction. The car can be picked up after your check has cleared my bank. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
