Up for bids is a 1941 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special. There has been quite a bit of mechanical work done to the car. It runs and drives like a dream. The engine has been overhauled. It also had a newly rebuilt carburetor, new water pump, new electric fuel pump in addition to the functioning factory fuel pump. A 6 volt alternator has been installed in place of the factory generator. The brakes have new wheel cylinders and a new upgraded 2 compartment master cylinder for safety. The engine has new points, condenser, rotor, distributor cap and new plugs. The radiator has been flushed and the car runs nice and cool. The clutch is very smooth with no chatter. This car is a very presentable and reliable driver. It is not a perfect show car though. While the chrome bumpers are really nice, the rest of the chrome trim has some pitting and would need to be redone to be show quality. The car was repainted last year. The paint job is not totally perfect however. There are a few runs at places and the paint has a little of the "orange peel" look at spots. There is also a place on the left front fender where the bondo cracked under the paint. From 20 feet away though the car looks amazing and it attracts a lot of attention where I take it. The interior is original and the back seat has some patches on it. I have seat covers on the front seat. The front seat should probably be reupholstered at some point in the future. The headliner is perfect with no tears or holes. I put new original style wool carpeting in the car when I got it. The old carpeting was torn out by the previous owner. The car also has 4 new tires and a new battery. They buyer will be responsible for all shipping charges and arrangements. The car has a clear title in my name. It's titled as an antique vehicle.
