Vehicle Detail
up for auction is a 1965 chevy impala super sport, I'm the second owner and have had the car for 20 yrs. and performed a full frame off restoration between 1996 and 2003. the car is 98% completed. over $40,000 invested. it needs to be finished, I don't have the time and place anymore to finish it. the seats still need to be redone, and it needs new carpets, it needs a dash harness and a tail lite harness witch I do have for it, the body needs to be repainted again, new quarters have been replaced along with the floor pans, the only body work that needs to be done over is at the bottom corners of the doors and at the bottom of fenders and some minor dings that's due from just sitting it's never been ran in any snow or road salt, never been in an accident. the car does have headers with 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust, with flow master 40 mufflers, mufflers are need of replacing, has new chevelle tail tips on the back. the engine is a newly rebuilt 97 Z28 350 high performance engine, only put 20 miles on her going to local shows back in 2014, it's been parked since. the engine is bored out .30 over, competition cam kit including comp cam, springs, keepers, lifters and push rods with poly locks. cam grind #CSXD 262H-10 pistons are trw flat tops, with speed pro rings, trw clevite main and rod bearings standard steel crank standard cut 69 corvette Heads, accel ignition, shorty plugs, wires, cap rotor and module. Cloyes double roller timing chain and gears, TRW High volume oil pump Holley 650 double pumper carb, with an edlebrock street performer intake manifold HEI ignition, headers, holley high volume fuel pump, custom air cleaner and valve cover set, new crank balancer, ARP head bolt kit, new water pump. the engine runs and sounds great. this car was originally a super sport with automatic on the floor, I had a 65 ss that was a factory 4 spd on the floor with console, that car was too far gone to restore, so I installed the complete 4 spd system into this car, I still have the vin and body tags to the 4 spd car, the transmission is a factory Muncie 4 spd w/Muncie shifter. has a 10 1/2 inch cluch, new flywheel. rear- 10 bolt with 3:73 gears, I have the factory posi carrier but needs to be rebuilt, body- all the sheet metal work was done already, it has an after market cowl induction hood with cowl induction emblems and 70 chevelle hood pin kit and also the correct hood springs for this hood. wheels are 15 inch vintiques S/S 396 ralley wheels. if I remember correctly it's going to need 2 rear tires, they are 15 by 7s in the front and 15 by 8s in the rear. interior has a new dash pad and still has the factory console. new headliner and ss door panels with the original door panel trim and emblems. new package tray new fire wall pad, new heater core. has a rose wood steering wheel. has a custom AM FM cassette sterio with a new 12 disk cd player that goes with the car I also have some spare parts that also go with this car. the car has power drum brakes, it has a new front suspension and it needs to be sent out to get a good alignment, the frame has been completely redone sand blasted primed and painted chassie black, has 2 rear dual upper control arms. I have a new set of door hinges from a 4 dr caprice that are in excellent condition for it. this car was originally set up for big block, but a small block was used instead. I even have the original protecto plate book the dealership gave to the original customer. this car has a new green tinted windshield and has all the green colored factory A/C glass. the engine always ran on 113 octane fuel with 94 octane gas, it has a 4 core radiator with a steel factory shroud power steering. I have a manual steering box from a 65 ss that's included in with the spare parts, it has the factory ss gauges, has a sun super tach and water amp and oil gauges under dash. all the hard work is done all it needs is some one to finish it, I have a towing business and no time or place to finish her myself, tired of seeing it just sit there. Payments, a 2,000.00 non refundable down payment required 24 hrs after auction end. will accept payment for the balance by cashiers check or cash in person. I will not release the car or title until cashiers check clears with the bank. I do have a clear title, car has no warranty sold as is. if anyone has a question feel free to send me a message or you can call me at 610-551-6960 Thank you and good luck! winning bidder is responsible for taxes, title transfer, and shipping and transportation fees and of arrangements .On Oct-18-17 at 16:28:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I just listed a picture of the trunk area, in my listing I said I had a manual steering box with some apare parts, I nolonger have the box, I had given it to a friend a year ago , sorry. On Oct-18-17 at 16:47:00 PDT, seller added the following information: the trunk was originally painted with the trunk spatter paint but over time the material pealed off, so I went and covered the trunk area with rust olium primer a few yrs back until I was able to redo it but haven't had the chance. the primer is still holding in there.
