Stunning 1962 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. Original correct code 936 "Ermine White" paint Collector's survivorOriginal 327 with high power option.Original Automatic Transmission.FACTORY Original Air Conditioning, which is VERY RARE on a '62 Chevy convertible!Original Wheels and Diagonal Tires.Motorized Convertible top. Vehicle has been in collectors hands for decades and has come to the current owner/seller who is a collector too from a museum in SW Florida where it has been kept in air conditioned storage. The car has only been driven to shows. Drives beautifully, starts right up, engine running smooth and powerful thru all gears shifting smoothly. Except for the power seats, which have a hard time moving and need clean up, everything works. The Convertible top works without hesitation and is fitted with a new pump and new pistons. Some of the brightware/trims has been updated or replaced with new parts and the original parts are included. All chrome is shiny and rust free. Likewise some OEM gauges have been replaced and the original gauges are included as well. Along with a lot of parts (new and OEM) there are books, booklets, tech. sheets, electrical diagrams, and original catalogue and owner's manual. Doors open and close without issues or body movement. The paint looks mostly original to us with possibly some updates.. It is in STUNNING condition for it's apparent age. We could not find rust. The paint only shows very few very minor signs of wear, like some very small chips at the door edges etc and boasts a beautiful shine and gloss with no crackling, nor so called "patina". Although mileage disclosed is believed to be actual but EXEMPT The car came originally with rear wheel skirts. Those were kept in storage. We forgot to install them for the photoshoot but THEY ARE INCLUDED. (see link to additional pictures) The under-body looks just as stunning and had everybody in the shop gather underneath and show amazement while I shot the included pictures. No rust visible anywhere. Healthy unmolested pans and panels. All sheet metal junction clean, flat and straight, clean straight and dry rocker panel seams. I have driven the car this last Saturday for just over 50 miles at all speeds. The car drives so straight, not only is it a "one-hand-steering" car, but I have let both hands off the steering wheel and it just keeps on going straight. No play in the steering! Breaks STRAIGHT without pulling on the steering wheel. Accelerates competitively with new cars littering todays streets. And get's "thumbs ups" all the time. All in all, this is a landmark historical car and stunning head turner, which can be enjoyed the day it will arrive at your door step.
