For sale is a 1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SL. I recently purchased the vehicle from an elderly banker who is no longer able to enjoy the vehicle. The silver paint looks great in most areas, but there are a few issues. They are: there are a few small dents on the trunk and passenger side fender. There are a few rust bubbles on the bottom of the car. The rear valance has been damaged and poorly repaired on the passenger side. The driver's side door handle is also loose, but functioning. Overall, the car looks great from 10 feet, but does have issues consistent with a car of this era. The seats are in excellent condition. The dash has several cracks throughout. The carpet is OK, but does show its age. Console is also OK, but shows wear. Trunk is solid. The convertible top is in place and functional, but is very dirty and shows wear. Engine bay is OK, but not great. Tires and brakes are OK for local driving. Car starts, idles, and runs without issue. Transmission shifts without issue. Full size spare is in the trunk, with the factory jack. Overall, the car presents itself well for its age. Car does not leak or drip fluid. I would say it's a #3 car on a 1 to 5 scale.
