1985 was the last year Mercedes built the bulletproof W123 300TD turbo diesel wagon. They made these legendary cars from 1978 until 1985 and only from 1981 until 1985 with the turbo diesel engine. Now after being very reliable and dependable they also had plenty of power for a more fun driving experience. They are known to be the longest lasting cars Mercedes ever built and you often see them with 500K miles and still driving strong. If you keep taking care of a car like this , it can literally last you a lifetime. This particular wagon was finished in 'Astral Silber" MB color code 735 with navy blue MB-tex interior. The body and the paint are still in wonderful condition after 32 years of pampered use. There are no dents or accidents and the paint still shines like on a much newer car. This car has mostly been stored inside and it shows. The interior is still in very nice shape , as the many pictures will show. There are no rips or tears in the seats and the carpets are clean . The headliner and sun visors are in good condition and even the wood pieces still look great. The 300TD has the rare option of a rear facing 3rd row of seats. This way you can comfortably and legally transport 7 people in style. All the kids usually want to sit all the way in the back , so they can wave to people behind you . This Mercedes has been taken care off and you can feel it when driving it . Just recently we had a full service done , where they adjusted the valves and changed the fluids and filters. The motor mounts were just redone and the tires have more than 80% of life left. We also just installed a new hood insulation pad.This car always starts up right away and i would not hesitate driving it to the east coast at a moments notice.
