Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1967 ford highboy 4x4. This has been a huge project that I've had a lot of fun with. I took the body off a 2wd truck and set it on a 1974 ford 4x4 frame, so it does have power steering and disc brakes on the front. Went through the rear brake drums about 5k miles ago. It's a 390 with a rebuilt c6 transmission. It has cobra valve covers, edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. Runs and drives awesome, it does have a slight exhaust leak that just started. It does need a new speedometer cable and a new gas gauge sending unit, the gas gauge does not work, all other gauges do work. I had dual series 40 flowmasters installed, gives it an awesome rumble. I installed a 6 inch inch lift and 37 inch tires with about 75% tread left on 20 inch rims. The seat was upholstered when I bought the 2wd but I've had a seat cover on it for the past 9 years, seats still in good shape but is cracking on the driver's side where I slid in and out. Needs carpet as shown in pics. I painted the truck with rustoleum to cover the bare metal temporarily where i sanded but the paint job grew on me. Has some surface rust in the floors but nothing through, I put some rustmort on the floors to stop it from going any further. Cab corners are rusty, as well as the front cab mounts. The tailgate is rusty and would be better off being replaced. I would also replace the roll-pan, this one is not in very good shape. The rest of the truck body is in very good condition with a few typical rust spots shown in the pics. It's an awesome truck and was my daily driver but I'm officially a family of 6 and the single cab just don't quite do the job anymore. This is an awesome truck and turns heads every where I go in it. The worst parts been done with the biddy swap to get the power steering and disc brakes, just needs someone to love it and take it the rest of the way! Please feel free to email me with any questions.
