Up for sale is a S-Code 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 hardtop. S-Code means factory 390 C.I.D. What also makes this car rare is the fact hat it is a manual 4-speed with a console. This car is complete, but it does not have the console. Some one removed it before I bought it in 1987. The body is very solid and mostly rust free except where you see in the pics. The doors are solid and slam like the day it came off the line. I was going to resto the car many years ago and had a guy start on it. He took off the front clip and removed the motor and that was as far as he got. He set he motor in it and put the front clip on with some hardware so I could move it from his barn and sell it. This car could be assembled and drove or completely restored. It ran when I parked it back in the eighties. The Marti Report speaks for itself.
