Vehicle Detail
Selling two-owner, low mileage 1989 Mercedes 560 SL. Last owner was elderly man who bought the car in the 1990s and recently passed away. The car was only driven in the summer and has always been garaged. The car has no rust and has never been in an accident. According to the family mechanic, the hardtop was always on the car, which was evident when I took it off to look at the soft top, which is excellent shape. The soft top is original and the fabric is not faded or worn, and the plastic rear windows are still clear. The interior is in very good condition with minimal wear. The driver's side bolster does have some wear as noted in the pictures. The console veneer has a crack around the shift lever, but is not warped or peeling. The dash top is original and has no cracks. The tires and battery are new and the oil was changed at the same time with quality oil and filter. Of note, the oils was checked prior to changing and was not low. The oil filter removed was a Mercedes Benz filter and the car was not over on miles according to the oil change sticker. The paint on the car original and in excellent condition. All the VIN tags are still under the body panels as they should be. The color combination is the seldom seen code 122 Pearl Grey with code 277 Burgundy leather. All options on the car, A/C, power windows, etc. work as they should. The top operated locking/releasing mechanisms all worked as they should. The car starts immediately with no rattles or smoke. The car drives and shifts as it should with no clunks, surging or vibration. All gauges work, as does the Becker unit. This is a no excuses, last year R107 Roadster. I do have a Carfax on the car.
