Up for auction is a very straight 1966 Chevy C-10 longbed Fleetside pickup. This beauty was barn find out of Montana, where it spent much it's life on that farm in barn. Truly has never seen winter streets with salt. I believe that at some point, the cab was replaced as you can see from photos. It has a slightly different color green than remaining body. But I believe that the rest of it: body, frame, engine, bed, doors, hood, transmission are original to its 54,710 mile odometer. The engine is a Chevy 283 cubic inch V-8 with 9.0:1 compression ratio. It runs 175 gross horsepower at 4400 and produced 275 foot pounds of torque @ 2400. The engine utilizes a stock ac44 spark plug. The transmission is a 4-speed stick (floor) what known as "granny gear" first gear. This was designed to be used just get heavy load moving, such as a heavy trailer. But for all in-town and highway normal driving, you utilize only gears 2-4. This truck is fully capable freeway speeds and I've taken it as high asa 70 mph with no problems whatsoever. The engine holds 4 quarts of 10w30 oil. The transmission holds 6.25 quarts of transmission fluid and it does not leak. You will not find a puddle of oil or tranny fluid under this truck. Very tight! This truck would make an excellent candidate for a full restoration. You have great bones to start from here. It is my hope that it finds its way into the hands of someone who can appreciate it. I used it only for runs to Home Depot and IKEA and so have only put around 500 miles on it myself. The wipers are intermittent, but that’s about the only thing that doesn’t operate the way it’s supposed to! 00209
