Vehicle Detail
Project Car, the following items need attention: Pwr Steering gear box is leaking; rear main seal is leaking, transmission pan is leaking (trans makes a whining sound, while it always has, shifting is smooth), driveshaft couplers are showing cracks but still functional, tires are dry rotting (over 10 years old), play in idler arm strut rod bushing and sub-frame bushing, brake support bushings and joint (replace), replace front brake pads and sensors (provided) and change brake fluid, rear stabilizer link rods, lower ball joint axle shaft boot left rear has exterior cracks, 3 rust spots underneath needing about 2 hours of work (always garage kept), recommend replacing trans cooler hose. The above were noted upon replacing a failed starter motor by M-B mechanic inspection. It has a great paint job done after a minor mishap, always drawing complements; the seats are excellent with like new M-B covers. It is a very comfortable and safe ride. All systems are working. R-134 refrigerant. Engine starts quickly and runs well, with a smooth idle. This would make a nice vehicle after addressing the above shortcomings. A mechanically inclined owner can bring it up to a good service life. Other than the 3 rust spots noted under the vehicle, it is rust free, always garage kept. This would make a very nice college car, or Sunday auto.
