Vehicle Detail

Very Nice Original 1965 Honda CB450 Black Bomber K0 Here we have for sale a beautiful, original 1965 Honda CB450 Black Bomber K0 motorcycle. This was a true barn find that I found a few years ago from a large motorcycle collector. He had bought this bike from the original owner and only rode it once before he parked it for 15+ years. It sat in the same place, in a very large barn and never mover. I have always been very intrigued by these early Honda Black Bombers. These are very iconic and they look just totally nostalgic. I love the look of these bikes and they way the feel and handle while riding them. I had the silver paint on the bike repainted professionally. I matched the original Silver Cloud paint to the original. The black paint on the bike is original. The black paint is very shiny but has some nicks and stratches in it, all over. The silver is beautiful and is nicer then original paint. There is a little chip on the rear lower lip on the rear fender and there is a chip in the right side cover where the petcock nicked the paint. I rebuilt the seat with a new original style seat foam and seat cover. The seat pan is original and nice with new rubber mounts on it. The tank is super nice on the bike with nice chrome knee gaurds and rubber knee pads. There is some patina on the chrome side tank covers though. The tank badges are new reproductions that match the original perfectly. The tank is clean inside and has no rust in it. I rebuilt the original petcock and put all new fuel lines and OEM Honda fuel line clips. I had the speedometer and tachometer rebuilt and new glass was installed. There chrome bezel has some little imperfections in it and patina from being original. The headlight ring is NOS. I put a new battery in the bike too. I put new vintage style tires and tubes on the bike. They have less then 200 miles on them. The front hub has a scratch in it where the original speedometer drive locked up and broke and scratched the hubs surface. I replaced the old, broken drive with a new Bomber one. The brakes work very well on the bike. I put all new original style grey sheathing cables on the bike. The handlebars are new but has just a slightly lower rise then the originals had. They ride and feel very nice! The grips are new too and match the originals. The electrical all works on the bike and the electric start works great too! Now on to the mechanicals on the bike. I took the old original carburetors off and replaced them with possible NOS carbs off a coupe year newer CB450. The carbs I put on the bike were literally perfect inside and out and I thought I would have less hassle with these perfect carbs then trying the rebuild and deal with the originals. I still have the original carbs in a box that came off of the bike. They have big main jets in them and run perfect! I took the choke flaps out but left the original linkage in the carbs. I synced the carbs, and adjusted the float levels. These carbs have been worry free and work perfect. I tuned the bike up by adjusting the timing, adjusting the unique torsion bar valves, put new NGK plugs in the bike and put new coils and coil wires on the bike too. The bike starts easily and idles very nicely. I have only ever ran high zinc and phosphorus Motul oil in the bike with non-ethanol gas. The bike runs great and rides awesome! This bike is such a blast to ride. Its has great power! The clutch and 4 speed transmission work as they should. The bike doesn't leak oil or smoke. The bike has its original Honda key still with it, which is so hard to find with old bikes. The original Black Bomber exhausts are nice but do have some minor little dings and scuffs in them. They do not have any rust holes in them. The front wheel has some minor checking in the chrome and the front and rear rims are original and unrestored. Overall this is a very clean and beautiful original Bomber that runs and rides just wonderfully. This is a super rare bike and especially to find in this nice of condition and running as well as this one does. This bike is not perfect but its something that you can ride and enjoy and be super proud of and take to any bike show that you please and be the highlight of the show. You don't see these bikes anymore and don't miss out bidding on this gem! I have a clean and clear Nevada title for the bike. I can store the bike for up to a month so that shipping arrangements are made and the bike is picked up. Please contact me by either email or phone if you have any questions before bidding. My phone number is 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!
