I purchased this upper left NOS HM 300 pipe several years ago for my 1969 CB 750 KO. It was described as NOS and perfect shape, and by all accounts it looked to be as described. BUT, when I went to install it on the bike, it wouldn't connect to the bolt that holds it on at the foot peg. It was about 2 inches too low. I tried with considerable force to bend it into place, but I couldn't.I had to assume this was a FACTORY DEFECT, otherwise a pipe in this new condition, couldn't have been damaged by a previous owner. I hated to throw it out, thinking if I had access to a pipe bender, I might be able to make the minor tweak and get it to fit. I'm not a machinist or have any knowledge of metallurgy, so I don't know if this is possible without cracking the chrome. The buyer should know this a problem with this otherwise perfect pipe.
