Restored by VW dreams in Jacksonville FL in 2008-2009 including a motor rebuild Chianti red L31H and pastel white L90D, original color combination for a '71 New headliner, door panels, mats, and sound dampening FatMat Mechanically maintained by Performance Haus VW in Dana Point. I have all the maintenance receipts since 2012 (when the previous owner purchased it) including: New generator and violtage regulator Fuel pump and all hoses New front brake pads, rotors, calipers, hoses; rear shoes, wheel cylinders rebuilt Shift coupler Tie rods CV joints Axles overhauled Tires kuhmo p195/75R. Thread very good 8/32" Last service and check up on March 2017, very few miles since Starts, runs and brakes nice and smooth. A pleasure to drive. This is the perfect bus to buy and enjoy, not a project! Unfortunately we only have one parking space and our "vacation condo" turned into our permanent residence so it has to make room for my wife's car! Other points: it has the dealer installed AC which works! (the blow is not much and it takes a lot of power from the engine though!). Has a Pioneer stereo with cd (I'd rather have the original radio as is the only non original component). The antenna is broken but I have a replacemento one. The horn does not work, it is really the only thing it needs. It does not leak or burn oil. Clean California title. The odometer says 50,000 miles, don't know if it's real.
