1979 Fiat X-1/9Classic mid-engine Sports Car Designed by Nuccio Bertone in Northern Italy in 1972The X-1/9 was noted for its balanced handling, precise steering,front and rear storage compartments,and lightweight removable targa top.I purchased the car in 1984 and used it only a little over the years.Earlier, I stated that the shift cable broke, but that was wrong information. The shift lever feels okay.The clutch pedal is down on the floor and it may need a new clutch slave cylinder.I put new tires on the car a number of years ago, but did not get to finishing the clutch repair and put the car into barn storage.Haven't tried to start the car since storage andmechanical condition is unknown.It is in as-is, where-is condition, with significant rust.Has crackled/mottled paint finish,and rat rod patina from barn storage.One wheel has chip out of it, see photo.Decklid hasp hinges have rusted through, butheavy spring seems to hold in place when latched.Passenger side door panel warped.Plastic filler piece behind front bumper missing.Has newer Pioneer radio, original radio included.Rare and attractive Carroll Shelby wheels.Could be a great deal of fun again if repaired.Please look at photos carefully before bidding.
