I bought this truck just as you see it at a police auction to remove the 4 cylinder 2200 motor and 5 speed manual transmission for another job; after driving it for a while I couldn't believe how well it drives compared to how it looks. Truck has less than 144,000 miles AC is cold; runs and drives good everything seems to work OK. SOLD AS IS NO WARRANTY. This vehicle should have a thorough inspection by a qualified mechanic before driving and will need a front bumper, new tires, and muffler to be road worthy but I drove it for a week with no problems just the way it is. NOTE: The title states that 143755 IS NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE and this can be deceiving because in the state of Indiana any vehicle over 10 Years old can have this on the title even if the mileage is correct. There is no way to confirm this mileage which in my opinion is more than likely to be the actual mileage. There is no shake in the steering at 50 MPH even with worn tires at only about 10% tread left I have not had it over that speed. I let a certified mechanic do a free limited inspection and he noted that this truck had several leaks that could be fixed but normal for a truck of this age and that the catalytic converter may be partly plugged and could be removed for more power. Fluid level in the transmission and rear end should be checked before going on any long trips but truck is OK to drive as is. Noted also that the rear cab door won't open, the handle has been removed; also noted that the tail gate hinges are damaged due to rust so the gate will not open and close correctly. I understand that this is an old truck with obvious damage and only mechanical inclined individuals should bid on this truck as it will certainly need repairs, that’s why it’s going so cheap.
