Vehicle Detail
1965 Chrysler 300 2 door hardtop. This car is in fantastic shape for its age and will make a great Sunday driver for someone! I have owned this car for around a year but have changed jobs and will no longer have time to drive it. I bought the car from a close friend of mine(and member of the 300 club). The car was restored in 1997, but then sat outside for a few years. I had the top half of the car repainted to repair surface rust. I also had the heads re-worked with new springs, valves, guides, and hardened seats so that the car can run on unleaded gas without any additive. I recently re-adjusted and serviced the Torqueflite transmission, so that it shifts the way it should. I also replaced the 4 bbl carburetor with a new Edelbrock unit. All of the gauges work in the car(speedo doesn't have any discrepancies). I put four new Hankook H724 tires on the car and had them balanced. The radiator recently got re-soldered to repair a seem in the top tank. It was re-cored a few years ago. Both heater cores are brand new but need to be hooked back up. The car has new glass pack mufflers with new pipes, but needs the right side adjusted, as it hits the frame. The glass is all in good shape with no cracks or chips. The drivers side rear window needs adjustment, but goes down and up just fine. The original headlight covers are in fantastic shape with no cracks or holes. All of the interior and exterior lights work. The original FM/AM radio powers up, and with speakers would work fine. The original speakers were dry rotted and were removed. The power antenna works fine. Included with the car is a low mileage rear end(in case someone wanted a lower rpm at highway speeds). I will also include the original air cleaner with the car. A new glove box is included with the car. There is NO RUST on this car, there is a small patch of bubbles under the paint on the passenger side but has not intruded through the panel. The rockers could use a repaint, as the paint has flaked off. The A/C has been removed but will be included with the car. It did not function. The pictures of the car from a car show are very recent, as they were taken on June 24th at a show. Good luck bidding! It is very simple to hook it back up, but I do not have the time. The cable is wrapped up underneath the car. There is no effect to the driveability, just set the handbrake to park the car. On Jun-30-17 at 18:55:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I replaced both the fan clutch and the water pump- the starter motor has also been replaced.
