It is currently having idle issues from bad gas. but youll be able to hear it run and rev it up. So the last guy that came out took it for a drive and the throttle cable connector to the gas pedal broke so this will need to be towed. It can move onto a trailer under its own power using a string hooked to the throttle cable****@@@ does idle perfect *sometimes* SOLD AS ISSo this is going to be a looooong post but i hope to cover everything youd want to know before coming to look at it so nobodies time is wasted. This is a carbed intercooled twin turbo v6 maserati from the 80sIt has 69k original miles on odometer but stopped working about 1200 miles ago.It sat for roughly 10 years in a previous owners garage where a few rats nibbled on some of the interior leather pieces either that or his dog. the seats are in great condition and for the most part it is clean and cleanable.I got it as a project to work on over winter it wasnt running when i got it.Here is a list of everything i did to this car so you know whats new. the engine was pulled to get all of this done and then put back in and has been driving. would make a good project driver like im currently doing i personally wouldnt have this as your only vehicle but i get comments and thumbs up all the time and since its got no exhaust after the downpipe its a bit loud haha but sounds great.-New Timing Belt (this one is important one of things that you have to do on these car if you dont know when it was changed last)-Timing Set-New timing tensioner bearing-Added spearco 2 into 1 into 2 intercooler (was made for these cars actually pretty rare took some moving of the radiator down to get it to work)-Poly sway bar bushings-Brand new clutch-New rear main Seal (old one leaked a bit its been bone dry since i changed it 2000 miles ago)-New Cam Box Seals -New Valve Cover Seals-Rebuilt Webber carb with stock kit-new carb box gasket-Valves Checked-Oil pan pickup cleaned thoroughly along with the oil pan is like spotless and the dipstick comes out clean golden brown =)Differential fluid replaced rebuilt steering rack (thats why steering wheel is upside down been to lazy to fix it)-Slave cylinder rebuilt with fitting made.ALL smog equipment removed when the engine was out Egr blocked off.(more that i cant think of right now ill add to this as i remember)So Here is all the bad things i can think of with the car. It is italian so its got finicky old electronics.- First and most important the only real reason i dont drive it regularly The Master slave cylinder is leaking meaning you can get it into first and shift to second only with the pedal pushed allllll the way to the floor the part is 45 dollars if you make a little fitting yourself or 200 on ebay for one with a fitting made. so the syncros in first and second are a little finicky because of it but once its fixed you wouldnt know it hah Dont let this deter you i drive it all the time.-radio turns on but doesnt get reception but ive got an aux pluged into it 2 of the 4 speakers are hooked up-Trunk is gross lots of mold and a little bit of rust on the lip of trunk.- only rust on the car is a little bit by passenger rear window and gas lid and then the trunk lip and its because the trunk leaks took the carpets out awhile ago and try to keep it coverd so it didnt get worse- Speedo works off and on (tach works perfect)-have exhaust from downpipe back but isnt hooked up because you get about 10 -15 more hp without the cat.Choke isnt hooked up but that really isnt a bad thing the choke on these cars ran them suppppper rich and only did bad things. so you started and give it a bit of throttle for about 30 secs and then itll idle right around 1000 and then settle at the recomended 1200 with a little more warming or driving.its carbed so it takes a bit to warmheater only works in an on and off fasion with only hot air coming from defroster vents.
