Description This is being relisted due to a non responsive high bidder. Please bid only if you intend to follow through with the purchase. You are looking at an outstanding 1978 Honda CB750K with 25241 original miles. It has had two local owners and has been well taken care of. It is being sold to settle an estate. Condition Report: Mechanically, the bike has been garage stored, well maintained and driven until 2012 when it was stored away. We pulled it from the garage and put a new battery in the bike. It runs when the carbs are fed manually but suffers from floats sticking and a gas tank that needs to be cleaned out. Gas drains out of the carb overflow tubes when the petcock is turned on. Figure carb rebuilds at a minimum. We have no way to know the condition of the brakes, transmission, tires, and other components is unknown. The radio, headlight, directionals, gauge lights and brake light work. Cosmetically, it is in great shape. The gas tank is beautiful, and aside from some cleaning and polishing, it is in great shape. The VIN reflects the engine number like many older bikes in Wisconsin. However, it looks like the 1 in the engine number was mistaken for a 7. We would suggest getting it inspected and changing the recorded VIN from the engine number to the actual VIN listed on the bike. The title states not actual miles but also exempt as it is over 10 years old. Again, not a problem but wanted to disclose what we knew. These are truly a Japanese motorcycle masterpiece and this is a super nice unmolested original. It has a clear title as well. It would be a great project bike for that bobber, vintage cruiser or other purpose. Additional auction information: This vehicle is sold as-is. Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires, etc). The title is free and clear, and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this vehicle is being purchased as-is.
