Good convertible beetle suitable for restoration. Engine is a 1500cc from a 1971 bug and has a carb (not fuel injection). Runs and drives good. No smoke or substantial leaks but probably needs engine rebuilt since it hasn't been driven regularly in over 10 years. I won't lie to you. It needs a lot of TLC. This is not a daily driver but has many good parts and features. Lots of new parts on engine (carb, distr, fuel pump, brakes, etc). All good seats and glass. top frame in good shape. Minimal rust on frame and suspension. Convertible cable channel needs replacing. This is common for old convertibles. The current top uses snaps to bypass the cable (convertible guys will know what I am talking about) Floor pan is passable- no holes in floor pan but has been patched. Clear Texas title in hand.
