I purchased this from a family that owns several ford dealerships a while back . It has been sitting in warehouse since 1975 . I was told it was a showroom car that they had and then son drove it in the late 50-60's (who is now 60 ) . I have known this family for about 15 years . I had a mechanic change the oil ,water pump ,thermostats ,plugs ,wires,points , battery , etc. Also put new carburetor on it.They way you see it , is the way I received it , has a mild dent on passenger door only. It's still a 6 volt set up . It's all original Has no rust holes. Hard to find car . 1949 MERCURYFLATHEAD 8 --#'S MATCHING CAR I bought this one for my wife , she wanted an antique can to drive but she can not drive a standard and this one is a 3 on the tree.I have 2 other cars I'm working on and don't have time to start a full project on this one the way I want it to look and need the room. I'm asking what I have in it (purchase price, parts & labor ) - I know I wont get that so I'm open to RESONAIBLE offers . I have a clear title in my name deposit of $500 due upon purchase and remainder due upon pick up
