I have owned and loved this car for three years. During my ownership I have had the following work done apart from regular servicing using full synthetic oil. Headliner replaced as they tend to droop after about 10 years.New rotors, and pads.New set of Pirelli Cinturato tires.New Arnott coil over shocks suspension.New battery.I parked the car at GSP Airport on March 15 and upon my return I found that a hail storm had hit the Spartanburg area on March 30. From a few feet it's hard to see the damage the hail caused and all but two or three of the impressions are suitable for paintless dent repair. The car starts and runs beautifully. The 4.2 liter V8 is powerful and the six speed auto transmission shifts smoothly. The interior is like new. The cream Connolly leather seats are piped in brown. The mats are deep pile Jaguar original.Ice cold, dual zone automatic climate control, a sliding, tilting, moonroof and drop down tables in the back. The Vanden Plas is the top of the range version of the Long Wheelbase XJ8 . The GPS has the latest disk and speaks in a lovely English accent. Undamaged, the 2005 VDP lists for about $12,000.00. With less than 72,000 miles this car would be worth that and, possibly, more. For those who are unfamiliar with the XJ8 Vanden Plas, it is well worth checking out the model on Google and YouTube. It has the highest ratings and is possibly one of the nicest modern Jaguars prior to the recent major design changes. I'll be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for looking at my auction.
