This classic early superbike is in very nice shape overall but could use a little fine tuning. It fires right up and has tons of smooth power, but it needs tuning at low RPM. It pops a bit as it warms up and it won't hold a steady idle. It will idle a little rough around 1,000 RPM. If you blip the throttle, it will then idle at around 2,000 RPM for several seconds before settling back down the the slightly rough 1,000 RPM. When you get on the throttle to go, it GOES!!! Plenty of nice, smooth, LOUD power. We took this bike in as a trade-in and we just don't deal with the older Japanese bikes much, so we're selling it as is. It has pod air filters and a 4-into-1 header with basically no muffler, so I would guess that it just needs different size jets in the carburetors to make it happy at all RPMs. The only other issue on the bike is that the rear shocks stick. They compress but don't return. It seems they return very slowly over time but as you ride, the rear end gets progressively lower. There are 77 pictures below. If you are not an Illinois resident, we must issue a $10 temporary license plate. No matter what state you live in, we have a documentation fee of $165. Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. We can deliver it locally for $1.50 per mile round trip ($20 minimum). $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close.
