Very rare 2002 Sterling Blue BMW 540i 6 Speed with black interior. It's a smooth and very quick ride! I'm the second owner and have owned the car since June 2012 when it had 58K miles. It currently has 110K on the clock. The car is stock with the exception of a Grom Bluetooth audio adapter. Drivetrain: Oil has been changed at 5K-7.5K miles and always with BMW 5W-30 oil and a new Mann Oil filter. I have all of the receipts for maintenance over the course of my ownership. Most of the work was done by independent mechanic Ben @ German Autowerkstatt (https://www.yelp.com/biz/german-autowerkstatt-san-diego). The 6 speed transmission (very rare) shifts perfectly and the clutch does not slip at all. Its really nice to have that 6th gear and I can consistently get 28mpg @ 75mph on the freeway. It has some existing issues that should be addressed but the car is still driveable in its current state. I've got the diagnostics report from San Diego BMW so you can be aware of the existing issues. I'll briefly outline them in order of urgency: Intake manifold has a slight air leak. This causes a rough idle when the car is cold. After about 5 min it drives completely normalOverflow tank has a small leak. Simple fix and has to do with malfunctioning hose clamp.The power steering is leaking. I've dealt with this over the course of my ownership with the car, it just causes a small amount of oil in the driveway.Interior: The black leather is in great condition overall. The drivers seat does have a small section of stitching that’s coming undone but the rest of the seat is in good condition. I've used BMW rubber floor mats in the car which have kept the carpet in really good condition. I'll be including the original BMW floor mats that I've kept in storage. The passenger side rear seat belt is stuck. I don't use the back seats much so I didnt feel the need to fix this issue. Paint/Body: Overall the paint is in good condition for a 15 year old car, it has some spots of clear coat damage on the roof and rear bumper that you can see in the pictures. The car has been in two minor accidents that caused damage to the front bumper and hood of the car. Both accidents happened under 5 mph and were in traffic. These incidents have in no way effected the structural integrity of the car or its performance. The car is very quick and a joy to drive with the 6 speed manual. I have had it long enough and no longer need a sedan. Ill be including the factory car cover, manual, brochure and CD. I have 3 keys for it (2 regular keys, 1 surfer key). Overall I'm pricing this to move quickly as I have another vehicle and can't afford a weekend driver any more. I have the title in hand and will entertain any reasonable offer!
