1973 BMW R75/5Long WheelbaseEuropean Sport - Low 'S' barsMatching numbers bike Up for your consideration is a very fine R75/5 example. This bike has been part of my collection for 21 years and has spent all of its life in my living room or climate controlled shop. I purchased the bike from a good friend/master mechanic who lovingly frame-up restored the bike to like-new condition. Every part was either replaced with NOS parts or restored. Upon purchase, the fuel was drained from the tank and carbs and during storage the engine and drivetrain rotated on a regular basis. The bike has been out of the sun and elements and all the rubber and other parts are in excellent condition. Recently, I decided that I needed to thin my collection and I prepared the R75 for sale. The carbs we rebuilt, the fluids changed and a new Odyssey AGM battery installed. The bike started immediately and runs smooth and strong. The photos do a good job of showing the condition of the bike and the quality of the restoration. The bike has, in my view, only three notable flaws - all shown in the last three photos:• Some marking on the upper triple clamp• A spot of rust where the tab of the key bezel goes into a slot in the headlight housing• Some small bubbling of the chrome on the left side muffler Please message with any question.
