Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Please, no zero- or low-feedback bidders without contacting me first; thank you. Tim 360-936-9257 This is an amazing, loaded, and beautiful 1978 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Super Cab Camper Special high-line pickup in correct original gorgeous Raven Black and Metallic Silver paint colors. This truck has been turning heads locally as a weekend driver for years, and with its’ fresh cosmetic restoration is now certainly one of the best-looking trucks on the road. It is in exceptionally well-maintained mechanical and cosmetic condition. Details as follows: Factory two-tone Raven Black paint with Silver Metallic side insert and roof treatment, exactly as it came from the factory (code AV), a beautiful and rare color combination. This truck is fully loaded with the hard-to-find XLT Ranger “race track” full trim package, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and cruise control. The factory Camper Special package adds an even heavier-duty rear axle (3.54 rear gears) and suspension, HD brakes, HD cooling system, etc. In addition to the fresh high-quality two-stage base/clear paint job, the truck has a new windshield, and all new Super Cab fixed side glass, front windshield, and rear glass rubber gaskets. The doors have new window wipers and felts, new weatherstrip, and new door glass channel liners. The XLT stainless trim and stainless tailgate panel have been cleaned, polished, and sealed, and are in beautiful condition. The grill and headlamp bezels have been restored, and it has its’ original stainless steel factory towing mirrors (*can be turned in or out). Great solid floors, doors, hood, and bed. I have taken pictures indoors under full lighting, and outside both in direct and indirect light so that you can see how nice the paint is. Extremely straight bodywork, shiny, deep two-stage paint job, and new trim fasteners as and were necessary. The truck is just beautiful! The engine is the original 460 4-barrel V8 powerhouse with only 139k actual original miles. The engine starts easily, and runs smoothly with good oil pressure and no bottom end or valve train noise... a very sound and well-maintained engine. It features a fresh tune-up, a new battery, fresh engine oil and filter, and fresh coolant. The original Autolite spread-bore 4-barrel carburetor has just been rebuilt. A new brake master cylinder and booster have been installed. The truck is turnkey and ready to roll. The undercarriage is unrestored and very clean. The truck drives extremely well, and tracks straight down the road with sound radial tires, original restored steel wheels, and original fancy two-piece full wheel covers. She steers easily with true power steering (not “power assist” as in earlier years), and brakes well and straight with the rebuilt brake system. In summary, the truck is a real pleasure to drive. The cruise control still works, and the air conditioning works but could use a recharge to be ice cold. The interior is also restored and beautiful with new upholstery, carpet, restored door panels, dash pad, original headliner (some warping), and nice original painted lower dash. The XLT woodgrain gauge bezel and glove box door are in very nice condition, and the gauges are in working order. The A/C system is complete, but will require a servicing to be in proper working order. The gauges, lights, turn signals, and wipers are all in working order. The original radio is present but not currently operating; same with the cruise control. This is fantastic classic Ford that looks as good and will turn more heads than a new $60k Ford at a fraction of the cost. It comes with a frame-mountable heavy-duty towing receiver hitch that is manufactured for this exact truck. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for inspection, export, etc. You may call me directly at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have. While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, this is in fact a 39-year-old classic truck, not new or perfect, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction’s end via deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I own a classic car restoration shop and can recommend a reliable and affordable broker who I have used many times... ultimately the choice must be yours alone. Again, feel free to call me directly at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have.
