Vehicle Detail

1984 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60. I purchased this truck about 2 years ago, I did not intend on selling it but a vintage corvette in the family has come up for sale and I have to make garage space for it. It has 172k original miles, this is the original paint and has ZERO rust. I had an 83 fj60 as my first vehicle, I had to sell it in college due to gas mileage, I looked for 8 years before I bought this one, I will not buy a fj60 or fj40 that has been repainted as there is always bad body work to deal with. This vehicle has never been wrecked or damaged. There is no bondo, or any other body work done to this vehicle, what you see is what you get, there is no rust whatsoever in the usual places, (lift gate and tailgate, door jams, etc.) which is shown in the pics. The frame and undercarriage have very little surface rust. This is easily the most rust free LC I have ever owned, and I have owned many. There are very few scratches, a few small dents, the rockers are not dented and all chrome and trim is there with no surface rust at all and in exceptional condition, all shown in the pics. The engine is completely stock as is the rest of the vehicle. All lights, switches, do-dads etc. are all functional and in exceptional condition. This does not need to be restored, if you want it show quality it will need paint, the original paint is still shiny in most places and I had planned on just buffing and clear coating. Other than that I was going to change stock carb. over to tbi fuel injection, and I would have been finished working on this truck. I think the best thing going for it other than the truck itself, is it has full documentation from when it was new, I have a folder that is literally and inch thick with all paperwork and receipts for this vehicles entire life, that will come with it, you just don't find them like this folks. All seals, weather stripping, rubber etc. is in excellent condition. It has an aftermarket mean green alternator which is real nice for any acc. like winch, offroad lights etc. All of these parts and work have been done in the last 3k miles: plugs, wires, dist. cap and rotor, various belts, hoses and gaskets, oil press. send. unit, fuel filter, air filter, nos shift knob, a lot of new bulbs inside and out, cooper discoverer m&s tires. Brakes are tight, steering is good, shifts smooth, I drive this truck at least 3 times a week. There is also a functional CB radio in the truck, I don't have the antenna installed but it will be in the vehicle. New crisp, clean Tn. title in hand. It also has a newer tow hitch with flush mount to bumper 7 pin plug, with a 7 to 4 pin adapter included. Also has the original paperwork from dealer including owners manual. I have had 2 years to get all the little things on this truck worked out, that simply are over looked on most others, I am 95% done with this truck and am very sad to sell it. Things it will need: Probably could use a carb. rebuild, it runs great but if you don't drive it for a few days or a week it will take a few seconds for the mechanical fuel pump to get fuel to the carb. when starting, this is due to the needle valve in the carb. letting fuel run back to the pump if sitting for a while. Like I said my plan was tbi so I would have been running an electric fuel pump. Toyota does not make a carb. rebuild kit anymore, just a gasket kit, there are a couple good after market kits and some really bad ones, regardless it will cost $50 when you get around to it. Also in the last couple days of driving it the tachometer has been acting up, it still works, but cuts off from time to time. I have a new tested tach. out of an 84 that comes with it just in case( these are at least $150 on ebay). It has a newer radio head unit, but when I purchased this truck, some how the seller didn't give me the face for it. Also there are various parts for this truck I will include with it, including 12 to 15 oil filters ( like I said, I really wasn't planning on selling this one). There is a small crack in the original dash that is shown in one of the pics, I had to take the pic through the windshield, as this is the only way it was visible. There is a small oil leak from the rear main seal, it will not show up under the vehicle when parked, but definitely change that $5 seal when it gets around to needing a clutch. This truck has the original interior and the drivers seat has a 1 to 2 inch split in it which is visible in the photos. Please feel free to contact me for more pics or info. This truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction at anytime. On Feb-20-17 at 11:19:52 PST, seller added the following information: I would like to add since I have had a few questions, there are a few places on the hood and roof that the paint is faded and is white, the only one of these that has surface rust is the one on the roof which is about the size of a softball, please see pics.
