My wife's van had a small oil leak. One night I heard a pop and the oil began coming out faster. I drove the van to a mechanic and he took the whole thing apart to assess damage. He informed me that the car would cost at least $2400 to repair. A good used engine could be put in for $1600 (worst case) so I felt that the mechanic wasn't being honest. Although I drove it in, he refused to put it back together. I lost patience, had it towed to my house and got her a new car. I do feel that it can be repaired fairly cheap but I'm not sure.We are the original owners and the car has a good amount of wear. The tires, brakes and radiator are new. The transmission was changed a few years ago. The van has plenty of life in it for anyone who wants to put some time and money into it. Toyota is supposed to put a install a new dashboard and replace a shift solenoid under warranty. On Feb-16-17 at 09:30:37 PST, seller added the following information: The A/C runs well. Local pickup.
