Vehicle Detail
Circumstances and tax issues have forced me to liquidate my vintage motorcycle collection. This bike is a 1985 Honda V65 Magna. The bike is in above average condition and is ready to take to that vintage bike show. I would rate it an 8.5 out of 10 condition. I looked a long time to find a V65 that had not been beat to death, left out in yard, etc. This one is a California emission model that is stock, right down to the air and oil filter. The seat, and side covers are NOS. The backrest and engine guard are genuine Honda accessories that were found online and added a couple of years ago. The paint and chrome shine and I would put condition way above average, for a 32 year old bike. The bike has not been crashed, since I have owned it, however, I can not say prior to that but I find it unlikely. There is a little ding, on bottom leading edge of right muffler but it is not real noticeable. The engine guard, that was added has a scuff from its previous bike, but it was the best that could be found at the time. The aluminum parts, engine and wheels show a minimum amount of corrosion. Within the last couple years I have replaced, mostly with genuine parts, the following items. Rubber main tank fuel line, coolant and fan sensors, radiator core, brake lever, coolant tube orings, carb boots, rebuild rear brake caliper, brake pads, starter clutch, rebuild and polish forks, polish air box covers, replace front valve cover with NOS, replace clutch. A lot of this work, such as the clutch and valve cover, was done during a minor restoration and not because there was any actual failure. Bike currently has Progressive front springs and rear shocks but I have the originals, that go with the bike, along with a new set of original grips. The carbs were rebuilt and polished by Billy Carr and the bike starts and runs as it should. There are no known engine or transmission issues, fluids are all fresh and it is ready to ride to the bike show. Keep in mind that this is a vintage bike and I do my best to describe but it is sold as is. I apologize for the poor pictures but the bike is in a cramped storage area so getting pics was difficult. As I said this bike is not some thrashed on piece of junk so if that is what your budget is, then move on as this needs to go to someone that appreciates these old bikes and possibly wants to relive some memories.
