** THIS IS A TWO OWNER CAR WITH NO REPORTED ACCIDENTS BY AUTOCHECK ** NOTE: I recently bought this GOOD RUNNING CAR only for the wheels (currently pictured on car), to put on my 2005 Deville base. I am, therefore, selling this car with the original 16" OEM wheels (pictured separately) and NOT the wheels that are pictured on the car! Mechanical:The previous seller of the car drove it for over ten years and it was a daily driver until it recently developed a problem with the rack and pinion (although I couldn't detect it during my test drive and thirty minute drive home). He said that the problem was confirmed by a mechanic - so to be safe - assume that it is the case. My test drive was limited to the seller's neighborhood and then coming to my house - which was about a thirty minute drive - stop and go. I brought it up above 60 mph twice to check the high gears. In all, the car had very good power. The engine demonstrated no misses, knocking or smoking at all. The transmission shifted well through all gears. No overheating whatsoever. The car braked well and did not pull. There is a check engine light that comes on along with the usual electronic maintenance messages on the dash. All essential equipment appear to be working (except cruise control): all windows; front power seats; door locks; lights; turn signals; cold air; heat; Bose radio (did not check CD or cassette player). I checked my driveway after it had sat for 45 minutes and saw ZERO oil/fluids underneath. The car is currently safety and emissions inspection passed in the State of Virginia. Exterior:I cannot locate any dents or even one ding on the entire car (except the hood - see photo). The car has a Very nice glossy repainted finish (except the roof, which is faded, see photo), with Very limited chipping or scratches. However, the chrome veneer on the grill is bubbling (see photo). I cannot detect any body work or rust anywhere. Very straight and beautiful body. Interior:Very good condition except for a few rips in the rear seat (see photo - likely from a dog). Very clean dash, steering assembly, gauges and door panels. Very clean front seats and headliner. Carpet looks good. Trunk has spare and is quite clean (disregard the dirt on the rear seat - it was left behind from the OEM wheels that I had bought with the car). Other than the rips in the rear seat, the leather, cloth and wood veneer is in excellent condition all around. The car has no odors whatsoever. Note: when I say "clean", I am talking only about condition - not that the materials have actually "been cleaned" with a solution - which, consistent with the photos, they are all in need of. Several OEM keys with two OEM fobs are included. Floor mats do not convey. This is a very sharp car that currently runs well. It just needs some attention and a good cleaning (seller had a dog, so lots of shedding left behind). This is a NO RESERVE auction that will likely result in a great value for someone willing to put in the needed sweat equity. However, I reserve the right to end early or cancel the auction and to cancel any bid, even a winning bid, for any allowable reason (i.e., if I sell to a local buyer). On Feb-13-17 at 09:26:43 PST, seller added the following information: ** Cassette deck and CD player both work. ** Rear seat heaters appear to be working (did not wait for the actual heat, but the switches did illuminate). ** When I was checking the heat in the rear, I found that a small interior plastic flap down lid on the driver's side rear door panel is missing (hides cigarette lighter). ** OEM wheels are now on (see photo).They are 17" - not 16", as previously stated.
