For auction a loaded 2001 Boxster S black on black with manual 6 speed transy. This is the second best Boxster 986 I ever had ( I had seven of them). This beauty came with the following options:* Aluminum package* XM Radio* Xenon Litronic Headlights* European LED Tail Lights (with Smoke signal lights)* LED front bumper signal lights smoke finish.* Headlight washers* Full leather interiors option (not just the seats but the dashboard, door panels, dash and middle center console covers, middle center console lid)* Center console painted aluminum color* Anti-Roll Cage painted aluminum color* Traction Control* Wind Deflector* Front bumper upgraded to 2003 with integrated front lip splitter* Custom Grills* Upgraded Sound System* Upgraded Recaro seats electric with Cooling and Heater system* Stainless Steel Door Sills with "Boxster" engraved* 18" Turbo Twist Wheels with semi gloss black finish* Tinted Glass For those who don't know much about Porsche's, the "S" version came with bigger engine (3.2L instead of the weak 2.7L), bigger transmission (6 speed instead of 5 speed and stronger gears), larger drive shaft diameters, larger wheel hub diameters, larger "big red" brakes, larger cross drilled rotors, larger muffler (double tail pipes) and three spoke steering wheel (which is nicer and sporty). On top of that this baby has all the additional options mentioned above. That is why this roadster was way more expensive than the shameful regular Boxster's 2.7L. You will be disappointed if you buy a 2.7L specially when a Honda Civic, S2000 or a Miata smoked you ;) The Recaro seats are original (not imitation) and are the top of the line (the most expensive ones you could buy in that time), with real leather, electric power adjustments and some ergonomic features (the front cushion moves forward and the lower back cushion can be inflated with an integrated pump. Heated seats which is great for this winter season. The OEM stereo CD was replaced for a JVC. It sounds better and it came with more updated options, like Bluetooth and Aux port to add your own MP3 music. The transmission shift fine thru all gears, the engine is strong with fresh oil and filter and the clutch still grab pretty good. The oil separator is also brand new, and it is a most to replace this when you buy a Boxster to protect the engine oil circulation. (that is a service question that you shall always make to anybody selling a Boxster). I included the pictures of the inside of the hood and trunk panels so you can see that it has the original OEM stickers to demonstrate it was not crashed in the front neither the back. The doors never suffered any hit either. I will include more pictures later on. The new pictures will include more interior details. This car came equipped with all luxury standards; i.e. power leather seats, power windows, power brakes with ABS, power steering, tilt steering wheel, trip computer and cruise control. The paint is in pretty good shape, not bad for the year. This black on black Boxster S will make an statement everywhere you go with it. This hardcore Porsche sport look is hard to miss. As you can see in the seats controls, there is a button for heating, another for cooling, another for going up or down, another for tilt back and a bladder pump for filling up the lower back cushion. The front legs support cushion can be expanded forward. Please notice the difference from driver and passenger. They are mounted on OEM tracks and on the same OEM holes location with OEM bolts, just like factory sport seats which upgrade cost $2,500. The leather is wrinkled but it is thick and strong real leather, high quality and comfort. FYI the factory Porsche base model seats are made by Recaro as well but thinner leather.You also can notice some upholstery upgrade details made in suede, like the center console and dashboard.
