We had fun driving it, but decided to go with another second car, where we can install a proper Car Seat for our toddler. This is a great Mercedes that has potential to be fully restored. Has work that needs to be done, Not a daily driving/commuting type of automobile! The Mercedes is running and can be driven around but it currently idles too slow and at times dies. It needs to be tuned.Currently Owned by an antique car lover but not someone who knows much about automobiles. Keep this in mind when asking questions. Some of the things that need to be fixed/worked on that I am aware of include:-No Radio installed-Driver Door is missing Door Panel Pocket-Fuel Gauge is not working (hence the Fuel Light is on)-Seat Belts need to be re-installed (front, non for the back)-Dashboard does not show what "gear" you are in. Can be fixed.-Hood Release is not working and needs to be opened manually. Worked for me just fine-Recommend installing new brakes & suspension-Passenger Seat needs to be bolted back to the floor panel. The paint seems to be original, although the previous owner seemed to patch certain spots. It is not a showroom Paintjob, but works for the daily driver. Some amateur paintwork was done on the steel wheels and the emblems on the covers. Here some Details on the Car: 2.5 Liter 146 hp 6-Cylinder Engine Dual Two-Barrel Zenith 35/40 INAT Carburetors Power Breaks Power Steering 4 Speed Automatic Transmission VDO Gauges Air Conditioning (does not blow very cold air) Aftermarket rear shelf Speakers Factory 14” Wheels with Wheel Covers Hankook 195/75-R14 White Sidewall Tires W114 Chassis Black Exterior Pain If you are interested to fully restore a 1970’s Mercedes, this would be your perfect car. I used it as a fun “toy” and enjoyed it very much. The Mileage is not original, as I’m sure it has turned over at least once. I don’t know the actual mileage. The Car is registered as an antique here in Florida, and is except from Mileage readings. Buyer is responsible for Shipping. Payments: Final Payment is due via Bank Wire or Cashiers Check. Once the payment clears, I will Fedex and transfer the Title to you. Please only bid, if you intend to buy the car and have the funds available. All questions need to be addressed before bidding. Feel free to have the car inspected, HOWEVER, this has to be done before the end of the auction. Please do not bid, if you do not intend to buy the car. If you have no “feedback:” on your Ebay account, please message me first, or I will cancel your bid. AS-IS: This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
