2003 BMW 540i M-Sport Sport Wagon 161k Miles great condition Metallic Silver Black Interior *****UPDATED INFO******THE CAR JUST OVERHEATED. I TURNED THE HEAT ON IMMEDIATELY AND STOPPED THE CAR AND THE TEMPERATURE WENT BACK DOWN. I AM NOT GOING TO EXPLORE THIS. THIS COULD BE INCREDIBLY MINOR, I DON'T AND WON'T EVER KNOW. WE HAVE BOUGHT A NEW CAR AND NO LONGER WANT THIS CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY. THIS CAR IS IN SUCH INCREDIBLE SHAPE AND THIS ISSUE (WHATEVER IT IS) WILL BE WORTH ADDRESSING. SUPER LOW RESERVE TO REFLECT. This was the last year of the e39 body style and BMW only sold 69 M Sport equipped 540iT wagons in the US in 2003. You can find 2003 540iT wagons for sale here and there, but only 69 had the M-Sport package. I am the 3rd owner and have really enjoyed this very sporty and luxurious wagon. Selling because we now have babies and wife wants a lower mileage car. I get it but it pains me to sell this rare jewel. The car runs well and has tons of power. It has been very well taken care of and has always had preventative maintenance performed by a highly qualified technician. Previous owner assured me of the same treatment and in the 4 years I've owned it I can't see this car hasn't been treated with the upmost care and attention it's entire life. No accidents, straight lines and shows very well. The transmission was rebuilt 3 years ago by the most reputable shop I could find and has worked flawlessly since. Car is showing some signs of age but nothing that can't be addressed. Interior fabric is coming off of pillars. I was going to have this fixed but I will let the new owner fix it as they wish. There is paint fading on the very top of the door frames by the windows on the passenger side only and paint bubbling on the window frame (about the size of a half dollar) of the rear passenger. The front air dam at the bottom of the spoiler is cracked with a hole and zip tied up. The passenger fog light is cracked. The tow hook cover on the front bumper is missing. The tint is scratched in a few places on driver's window. The leg extension on the driver's seat needs to be screwed back on to the power extender but it's still attached and hard to even notice. Trim piece detached from rear cargo area but included with car. M-badged door sill from driver door missing but available to buy. Rear passenger reading light trim is detached but included. Driver seat hip bolster showing ever so slight first sign of fading. All other leather looks fantastic. Wood looks fantastic. Carpet and headliner looks fantastic. Rear cargo separating net and cover are perfect. Window shades are all great. I think that covers it all! Good news is that it did not overheat. Bad news is that a buzzard flew into my window and cracked it! I have added a pic to show the crack. It is large. Most insurances will cover a crack with no deductible or claim. I will let the buyer choose to deal with this as they wish. If anyone wants to retract their bid because of this then I understand.
