On September 21st, 1988, Jim & Lois Ann Munroe paced their order for a 1989 Special Edition Anniversary Indy 500 Turbocharged TransAm with Cawood Buick, Pontiac, Honda and Mercedes in Port Huron, Michigan On March 16th, 1989 the Monroe's took delivery of this TransAm with 8 miles. Paperwork includes the ORIGINAL Cawood Pontiac sales contract, the temporary license plate, the certificate of insurance, the Michigan application for registration and title, the ORIGINAL GM Protection plan warranty book, the Original owner's manual, the ORIGINAL congratulatory letter from Pontiac Division as well as canceled checks used to pay for this car from the Munroe's payable to Cawood Pontiac. One of the amazing pieces of documentation is a memo book kept by Mr. Monroe started on March 16th, 1989 up through March 7th, 2016 when he recorded that their car had recorded 26,094 miles. In this book among the items recorded were fueling, warranty work, a recall on seat belts, oil changes and service work. A copy of this letter from the Pontiac Division is also included along with invoices for any service work done by the Munroes. The Factory 20th Anniversary Special Edition TransAm kit sent to each of the 1500 lucky owners of this car from PVL in Royal Oaks Michigan is included, is in mint condition, 100% complete and is in the original shipping carton with the paid postage sticker still on the box. This car was loved and exceptionally cared for from the day the Monroe's took delivery back on March 16th, 1989 until the day they sold their beloved TransAm on March 7th, 2016. It has never spent a single night outside and never driven in inclement weather and it's condition proves that. We acquired this car from it's 2nd private owner who drove it very little and also kept it in his garage. Whoever is the new lucky owner, will be it's 3rd registered owner. In its second year, the report shows that while passion investments have increased just 0.8% during 2014, this masks the diversity of returns of the various underlying categories which have increased overall by 80% (local currency terms) since 2005. The Index aims to provide the global benchmark for monitoring the performance of passion assets.
