For Sale is a 1971 Honda SL70. I purchased this as a barn find back in 20001 or 2002. I started to restore the bike as a rider for my son. I had some other things come up and never finished it completely before he had outgrown it. Bike is currently not running. Engine turns over and compression feels right. I think I put rings in the bike back then, but I am not 100% certain. Really doesn't matter now. The new owner should go through engine, trans and clutch to really put it back to full restoration. I had planned to add blinkers like the XL 70s had. You can see them on the front, but I never added them to the rear. This bike did not have blinkers when it was new. The front brake it missing the piece that holds the cable to the front brake lever on wheel. The hooks than connect the seat to the top rear shock bolts are also missing. It appears someone cut them off for soe reason. (That was before me.) When I was originally working on this project, the only side covers I could find were either broken or cracked. So, both side covers have been repaired. The blue paint is not an original color. It is also missing the Tail Light and the Headlight Bulb and Rim. To summarize: The bike needs some work, but if you are looking to build an SL70, this would not be a bad place to start. There is no title. I added Speedometer, so odometer is not accurate.
