Current Owner: Purchased used 5-1-2006 from Houston dealer, Expo Motorcars: 6,800 Miles. All warranty and work done by local Porsche dealer, except as noted elsewhere. Condition: Good to worn. It’s a 12-year-old well used car. Used as a personal suv that carries loads and goes fast. I’ve loved having the car – the best of many. The bad, oil-turbo leak, as noted, sucks. As is, the engine, turbo, and car performs as it should – no performance impact, other than being 12 years and 136K miles. Add oil, mop up drips, and don’t pull a trailer with a load, and towards the end of your run there is likely to be the smell of oil in the cab and maybe a little smoke from the driver’s side engine. Other than that, the car is totally driveable. Why I’m selling: I’ve moved on to a newer model, a Turbo S. Why buy: it’s driveable. Rebuilding the turbo, maybe $ 400 – 600 and having a lift – wouldn’t be a huge job to r & r.
