Vehicle Detail

Super clean F650GS in perfect condition, absolutely no corrosion or damage. I bought it recently from the original owner who is moving to Australia. I had plans to take this to Alaska in the Spring but my plans fell through and I have put zero miles on the bike. I am a long time rider, ex racer, and restorer, 62 yrs old. My loss is your gain. Factory expandable side cases and mounts. Heated hand grips, ABS, on board computer are standard. Comes with cover, charger, and factory owners manual. NADA Retail is $7,100, but doesn't take into account the low mileage. This is the 800cc parallel twin, a MUCH better ride than the single that preceded it which was underpowered and buzzy. BMW also beefed up their forks which, on the earlier F650GS single models, had some scary failures. Gets up to 60 miles/gallon. Low seat height fits most riders and low weight (377 lbs dry) makes it an ideal entry level adventure touring motorcycle. If you do your homework on line, you'll find that owners swear by this model, which lacks nothing compared to the taller and heavier adventure touring models. Comfortable all day at 80MPH on the highway and very capable on dirt roads. In fact, riders report that this feels more stable off road than the larger front wheeled F800; however this model is not designed for aggressive off road use. It's more a 90%/10% on/off road machine. These are comfortable, reliable, long range machines with just the right amount of power and fuel economy for long distance travel. Planning an adventure trip? Why pay for a new bike? Trying to economize? Don't take a chance on a high mileage machine that's been thrashed. This is the best of both worlds, a basically new bike for a used price. With the panniers this retailed for $9,300 new. It's current equivalent, the F800GS, essentially the same bike and motor, would cost you more than $11,000 with the side cases. Buy this and spend the thousands saved on adventure touring add-ons. I am starting the bidding at a very reasonable $6K. You can ship virtually anywhere in the lower 48 for about $500. I typically use USHIP, an on line brokerage service for independent shippers, when shipping motorcycles.
